Terms of Service

FreeFlyingLogbook provides a personal flying logbook that is free to use, and an optional paid subscription (“Pro”) that lets you upload a roster and share a private, live page with family members you invite. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service. You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Authentication is provided by our identity partner; you must provide accurate information and keep it current.

You retain ownership of the data you add — your logbook entries, rosters, profile, and any flights you record (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service, including showing it to the family members you choose to invite.

You are responsible for the accuracy of Your Content. The Service is a convenience tool and is not an official or authoritative record for licensing, regulatory, or legal purposes. You remain responsible for maintaining any official records required by your aviation authority or employer.

• The logbook and overview are free. Roster sharing (Pro) is a paid subscription billed via our payments provider (Stripe) on a monthly or yearly basis.
• Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your account; access continues until the end of the current period.
• Prices are shown before checkout and may change with notice; changes apply to future billing periods.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Family members who follow a pilot are never charged.

We may offer a referral programme with rewards for introducing new paying customers. Rewards are subject to additional conditions, may require identity/payout verification, and may be changed or withdrawn at any time. We may withhold rewards for suspected fraud or abuse.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service unlawfully, or to upload content you do not have the right to share;
• Attempt to access another user’s data, or share access links with people you are not entitled to;
• Interfere with, disrupt, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Service or its security;
• Resell or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission.

The Service relies on third parties — including identity, payments, hosting/storage, email, AI roster parsing, and flight-status data providers. Their availability and accuracy are outside our control. Flight tracking, times, and statuses are estimates and may be delayed, incomplete, or incorrect, and must not be relied upon for safety-critical decisions.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will always be available or accurate.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; certain provisions survive (e.g. ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability).

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, unless a mandatory law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
